For all application sectors, we have been effectively using Xenotest for years, a highly sophisticated but indispensable instrument.
Using xenon arc lamps capable of effectively reproducing most of the visible electromagnetic wave spectrum, Xenotest allows us to test the ability of materials to resist wear and aging caused by prolonged exposure to atmospheric agents.
The test duration varies from approximately 320 hours for interior furnishings to 720/1500 hours for the motorcycle upholstery sector, where outdoor durability is an essential requirement demanded by the leading motorcycle brands with whom we have been collaborating for years to develop high-end products.
This customization of tests is dictated by European standards, among which the most commonly used are:
UNI EN ISO 105-B02, essential for tests carried out in the furniture sector
UNI EN ISO 4892-2 required for motorcycle saddlery
Other standards and tests are used for other sectors with specific technical requirements, such as healthcare, boating, and automotive
