In 2025, Lederplast will take a new concrete step in its sustainability journey with the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of its factory in Pessinetto, in the province of Turin. This investment will be fully operational in 2026 and stems from a concrete objective: to increase the share of clean energy used every day for production processes.
Lederplast has been producing hydroelectric energy for some time, which is fed into the national grid through the GSE (Energy Services Manager), thus contributing to the country's electricity system. With photovoltaics, the energy produced by the panels will be used directly to power production, reducing consumption from traditional sources and making Lederplast a company capable of actively contributing to the reduction of the greenhouse effect.
This is how Lederplast understands sustainability: not as a statement, but as a concrete industrial choice. Investing in clean energy means taking care of the local area and triggering a virtuous cycle that combines technological innovation and environmental responsibility
