In 2025, Lederplast completed the refurbishment of its coating line, the beating heart of the company. This strategic intervention, the result of a significant investment, required a temporary halt in production and the subsequent restart of full operations in mid-October.
The new line, created in collaboration with Matex, an Italian company that designs and manufactures coating machinery for international export, now offers more stable technical performance, greater efficiency and superior durability of coatings. It is here that the mixture, prepared in the mixing room, is spread onto the paper that accompanies the product throughout the production process.
The renovation of the line has also led to a significant reduction in energy consumption, thanks to more efficient technological solutions, better management of production furnaces and precise control of process parameters. This improvement allows Lederplast to access the measures provided for in the Transition Plan 5.0, an initiative of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) that supports investments capable of combining digital innovation and energy efficiency.
With the new coating line, Lederplast strengthens the sustainability of its production process and confirms its vision: investing today to build a more solid, responsible industry that is ready for the challenges of the future, within an Italian supply chain that focuses on skills, research and a high level of know-how.
